Our Church Hall

Church House was built in 1887 and was used as a Methodist Chapel until it was closed in 1959 and was sold to All Saints for use as a church hall. The whole history of Church House, and an early photograph, can be found here.

It has been used for many years as a venue for various regular activities, both Church oriented and secular, including Scouting organisations, WI, keep fit, Local History Society meetings, birthday parties etc. In 2009 it was completely renovated internally and is now used for even more events. On Tuesday mornings there is a short Holy Communion Service at 10.00am followed by refreshments and the hall is often used for post funeral/Baptism refreshments. Visiting caterers are extremely pleased with the modern kitchen and the whole hall is wheelchair friendly with access to all areas.

There are two halls with folding wooden doors between with independent heating. The smaller Rushton Room, is licensed to accommodate fifty people and the main hall for one hundred people.  In line with Government guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to close the hall.  HOWEVER, a Risk Assessment has been undertaken, and we will shortly be making the main hall and one toilet available for hire.    This will mean limiting the numbers of people we are able to accommodate at any one time, until we can get back to full opening.  Thank you for your understanding.

A list of current regular users can be found here.

Current rates for hiring the hall can be found here.
