Our Benefice

All Saints is part of the joint Benefice of Whorlton, comprising Rudby in Cleveland, Middleton-upon-Leven, Crathorne, Carlton and Faceby, and Whorlton and Swainby.   A Benefice is defined as a parish, or group of parishes under a single minister. It is part of a larger group called a Deanery, which in turn is part of the York Archdeaconry and ultimately the Diocese of York. A chart of how we fit in the Church of England can be found here or downloaded as a PDF here.

The Benefice of Whorlton formally came into existence on 1st November 2019 with Revd. Dr. Robert Opala as the Rector and Revd. David Sudron as Assistant Curate.
