Saturday 18th May – 10.00am at the Hub – Christian Aid Coffee Morning. Tombola and raffle prizes are needed and, nearer the time, cakes and preserves. Please give these to Kay Gifford, Diane Gent or Jennifer Watt. Distributors of envelopes are also needed in Glendale and Levendale – you do not need to collect as there will be collection points around the Village.
Monday, 6th May – Annual Village Walk – This is a Pilgrimage of Thanksgiving and Unity walking to all the churches of the new benefice. You can join in the total walk, any part of walk, or just for a picnic lunch at Swainby Church Hall (bring your own!) and/or for the short Eucharist Service at the old church of Holy Cross, Whorlton. See booklet at the back of church. The walk will be pausing at All Saints, Hutton Rudby around approximately 10.30 – 11.00am for refreshments and for a short prayer in the Celtic tradition – if you are unable to participate in the walk, perhaps come to church for that short time. Some cars will then be available to take people to Swainby for a picnic and on to Whorlton for the HC Service.
