The Archbishops of Canterbury and York are calling for Church of England churches to put public worship on hold and become a “different sort of church” in the coming months to face the challenge of coronavirus: hopeful and rooted in the offering of prayer and praise and overflowing in service to the world. You can read the letter here.
This means that until further notice we will sadly not be meeting in person at church. We are also postponing all other Church events and gatherings.
All Saints will however remain open as usual from 10.00am – 6.00pm for prayer or to just sit and enjoy the silence. If you wish to come to the Church, you are asked to respect “social distancing”, ie sit at least six feet from the next person, and to use the hand gel.
We are aware that this is a challenging time for all but to help, at All Saints, Hutton Rudby, we will:
- Keep the church open where possible but with no public worship services taking place. You are welcome to come and pray, observing social distancing recommendations (keeping 2m apart)
- Continue our regular cleaning of the church.
- Offer a daily Eucharist service on the Internet which can be watched here.
